Introduction

Dear Colleague,
We are inviting you to participate in the International conference and exhibition "Fibrous materials - XXI century" that will be held in Saint-Petersburg - one of the most beautiful cities of the world, north capital of Russia.

The International conference is devoted to the state-of-the-art and the future prospect of fibers and fibrous materials (textile, compound materials and composites), scientific and technical aspects of their technology, structure, properties and their application. The wide spectrum of fundamental as well as applied questions of different areas in science, engineering and technology - physics, chemistry, mechanics, technology and science of fibers based materials will be discussed.

In the framework of the conference the exhibition and presentation of enterprises working in the field of elaboration, production and application of fibers and fibrous materials will be held.

The cultural program of the conference includes the excursions over the most beautiful places of the city and suburbia.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Saint-Petersburg at time of the conference and exhibition in May, 2005!

The languages of the Conference are Russian and English.

Proceedings of the Conference will be published in the language of an author(s) and be accompanied by an abstract in the second language.

Exhibition

At the exhibition is planning to present the samples of products of enterprises, firms and other organizations, models of equipment, information editions, advertising booklets and other information of participants wish. For exhibits there will be standard units with dimensions of 1x2.5 meters. Payment for 1 unit is 200€ or equivalent amount in rubles. If necessary, the units can be enlarged. It is possible to publish an advertisment in the Conference Proceeding. Price for each A4 sheet is 10€. To increase the effectiveness of your advertisement you are recommend you to order the detached module:
A5 black-and-white module - 50 Euro
½ A5 black-and-white module - 30 Euro
A5 color module - 150 Euro
½ A5 color module – 100 Euro
Modules will be published wherever you would like in the Conference Proceeding or in the Exhibition Catalogue.

Conference site

The host of the Conference is Saint-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design - the leading scientific-educational center of Russia in the field of textile / light industry. The university is located in the center of historical part of St.-Petersburg, in two minutes walk from Nevskiy prospect - the main street of the city. The world famous museums "Hermitage" and "Russian Museum", the masterpieces of architecture - St.Isaak and Kasansky Cathedrals are located close to the conference site.

Registration fees

Registration fees:

• universities and nonprofit organizations of CIS 100 €;
• postgraduate students 50 €.

In case you are not going to attend the Conference you can include your
report or paper to the Conference Proceedings:

- Participants from companies (profit-making organizations) 50 €

- Participants from universities and nonprofit organizations of CIS 30 €

- Postgraduate students 15 €

Please inform Organizing Committee about your intend.

The participants can pay the fee in Russian ruble equivalent on the date of payment.

The registration fee includes the expenses for Conference organization, the abstracts publishing, CD-disk with proceedings etc.
